What will Clam Packed deliver to the San Juan Islands?
As we're starting Clam Packed operations, we're focusing first on Trader Joe's by popular demand. Our goal is to expand the catalog to all the goodies Islanders want from Bellingham to Anacortes.

How do I sign up for Clam Packed Delivery?
You can subscribe through our website by selecting the once-per-month or twice-per-month delivery option or the three pack for more temporary stays. Orders must be placed at least 4 days in advance of your scheduled delivery date.
What’s the difference between the subscription options?
- Standard Subscription: $49 per delivery, six-month minimum.
- Choose once or twice per month delivery when signing up.
- Founding Members: The first 60 clients will lock in a $39 rate for five years.
- Three-pack delivery must be used within 6 months. Arrange deliveries with us based on our route availability.
How do we get our order list into Clam Packed?
- Go to https://www.traderjoes.com/home and fill in your shopping list, excluding alcohol (for now).
- In the shopping list section, go to the upper right-hand corner and save the PDF file on your device.
- On our website, click the blue Place order button in the upper right-hand corner, follow the instructions in the order form, and submit the shopping list that you saved as a PDF file.
- We will get back to you with the shipping details.
Can I make a one-time delivery without subscribing?
Yes! One-time deliveries are $80 per order (or $150 during holiday periods). Arrange deliveries with us based on our route availability.
Subscribers are exempt from holiday pricing increases.
What does each delivery include?
Each delivery includes up to 50 gallons (one large tote) of groceries and home consumables. Minor overages will incur a $15 fee. Orders over 100 gallons may be charged $35 per extra tote.
What items can and can’t you deliver?
We focus on delivering consumables such as groceries, batteries, and home-use goods. We deliver what is currently listed in our catalogue on clampacked.delivery.
Where and when can I pick up my order?
Orders are available for pickup on Orcas, San Juan, and Lopez Islands at our designated drop-off point. We arrive around 8:30 AM and leave on the 4:50 PM ferry or when all orders have been picked up.
What if I miss my pickup window?
If you miss the pickup window:
- First no-show = $50 rescheduling fee.
- Notify us by 5 PM the day before to reschedule without a fee.
- Second consecutive no-show = $100 fee, and your unclaimed groceries will be donated.
What happens if an item is out of stock or arrives damaged?
We’ll try to contact you for substitutions. If we can’t reach you, we’ll skip the item. For damaged goods, send a photo and description via email, and we’ll arrange compensation by your next delivery.
How do payments work?
Client pays for subscription via clampacked.delivery. Client pay for each grocery order before or at time of pickupvia Venmo.
Can I cancel my subscription early?
Yes, but there’s a cancellation fee equal to three standard deliveries. After that, your contract is terminated.
Do you offer any special delivery options for caterers or events?
Yes. Caterers can request a full truckload delivery for a $300 fee (200–400 gallons). This must be arranged in advance.
Can I order alcohol through Clam Packed?
We just got our beer license, which has a probation period through July. Starting in August 2025, we will begin beer delivery, and will be able to supply you with the cheapest beer on the islands! Please send a note letting us know what beer you would be interested in, and we can get that lined up as soon as possible.
We do not yet have a license for other alcohol deliveries. If you are interested in wine or liquor deliveries, please send us an email so we can gauge the demand and make decisions accordingly.
Do you offer referral discounts?
Yes! Get 50% off your next delivery for every new subscriber you refer who signs up for a six-month minimum contract. Discounts stack with each referral, so you can receive a discounted delivery for each referral.
